Crazy Paving – Knowle

Tim & team landscaped our garden and we were extremely happy with the process and the result. He was very knowledgeable, organised, reliable and trustworthy. He did exactly what we requested and even more. He kept exactly to the quote and timeline. We now have a beautiful garden that we love spending time in. We would definitely recommend him to anyone.”

Deidra, Knowle

Crazy paving has long been common place in England but rarely installed today. This garden in Knowle needed an overhaul but on a limited budget. A combination of new and old paving was installed in a new curvaceous fashion to give the garden some interest. Walls were rendered and painted and a small bed was left for the customer to plant out.

Garden Makeover – Clifton

“Tim and his team completed a significant landscaping job in our garden. He advised us from the start, taking into consideration our requirements and design ideas. The work was completed on budget and in the time frame quoted. All on site issues that so often crop up with these things were explained and resolved with no fuss. I would recommend Tim and his friendly team to anyone.”
Matt Gouldsmith, Clifton, Bristol

On arrival in this garden in Clifton it was instantly apparent the scale of works expected in this garden makeover. We removed several tonnes of soil, foliage, stumps, rubble and clay. We then found some very questionable groundworks which were replaced. Retaining walls were built incorporating a new lighting system. A render was put on to hide the blockwork. This would later be painted. Paving was installed to match that of the inside flooring.

The end wall was completely held up by ivy so a new footing was poured and new stonework built incorporating a set of driveway gates for access. Several tonnes of blended loam were brought in to improve the quality of the soil and new medallion turf laid courtesy of Ray Coxs of Yate.

Patio & Pond – Horfield

The old patio in Horfield was un-level and very dated so after showing Nicola a variety of different slabs these natural sandstone slabs were chosen. After some re-levelling the new slabs were put down and cut around the pond. They were sealed with paving sealant to stop any fading or staining and pointed with dry mortar mix.

Courtyard garden – Montpelier

“After a recommendation from our neighbour, we asked Tim to quote to remove a raised flower bed and pave our back garden and Tim responded quickly with a reasonable price. We were delighted with the overall finish as Tim and the team were able to incorporate the existing stone within the new design to great effect whilst also using the railway sleepers from the old flowerbed to form the outer low-level wall. We have since used them more recently to build our new shed and replace some broken fencing which we are also very happy with. We have recommended Tim to all our family and friends as a result of the excellent work.”

Jack Pearson, Montpelier

Access at this property was appalling so after carefully taking 15 tonnes of top soil through the house a new patio was installed using a combination of old and new paving to keep costs down. The unsightly wall was repaired and underpinned. The concrete was then concealed using the old sleepers and old railway pins were used to be in keeping with the rustic finish.

Block paving in Henleaze

Block paving has always been a very popular choice for driveways. With parking issues in Bristol at an all time high, having some space off the road is invaluable. A driveway will both ad value to your house and make life a lot easier at the end of each working day. This rumble block driveway in Henleaze allowed just enough room for two cars. With a small space for planting, both the clients and the wildlife were happy.

Sunken Patio – Westbury Park

“Tim & his team laid a large patio for us and built a retaining sleeper wall with steps up to a second level. It looks amazing! I couldn’t recommend Stockman Landscaping enough. They are very professional, highly knowledgable and their work is excellent. Tim has great attention to detail and is very level headed. They went out of their way to make sure the job was done to the highest standard without any unnecessary expense. Tim makes sure you will be pleased with the outcome and nothing is too big a problem. He is trustworthy and incredibly hard working. And, I have to say Tim and his team are genuinely nice people! Thanks a lot Tim, we’ll see you again!”

Victorian sett patio – Cotham

Here at Stockman Landscaping we hate seeing things go to waste. Everything we put in place in this garden in Cotham had been salvaged from around the house and garden. Using these old Victorian Paviers was very satisfying. After cleaning the old cement stains from each piece, the patio was finished with exterior grout and a new raised bed was edged with old stone from around the garden. York stone was used to finish off the section by the back door.

Garden Makeover in Redland

“Highly knowledgable and friendly, Tim immediately came up with some great options that would be cost effective & attractive for what I needed. A few days later, I had visual plans and budget breakdowns that easily allowed me to make my decision with confidence. Once on site, his team were great. Their friendly nature and hard efforts allowed my garden, decking and patio to take shape as the days passed and all was completely within the time scale Tim had set. Throughout this time communication was constant so there were never any issues. The final look is fantastic, even better than I had visualised. I truly recommend Stockman Landscaping for you garden and landscaping needs.”
